CUMARU / BRAZILIAN TEAK DECKING
Cumaru decking is the second hardest
decking(before Ipe) - Cumaru is used in mansions, five-star hotels and
major commercial projects. Our Cumaru decking is responsibly
harvested from managed forests to provide a truly renewable resource.

Maintenance
It has 25+ year lifespan without preservatives and
major maintenance.
In compirizon to Ipe, cumaru is just less expensive.
Appearance
The Brazilian Teak is yellowish brown to golden brown in color.
It has distinct growth rings, grain interlocked and texture is fine to
medium.
Properties
Teak is a heavy wood enjoys a well-deserved reputation for its strength
and durability, stability in fluctuating atmospheres, and its excellent
decorative appearance. Good chemical resistance enables it to be used
for laboratory benches, fume ducks, and vats.The basic density of this
wood is 0.91 g/cm3, Janka Hardness Scale-3540 lbf.
Uses
Its vast number of uses include furniture and cabinet making,
veneers, decking for ships and boat building, externally for dock and
harbor work, bridges, sea defenses,garden furniture, deck houses,
staircases, paneling, handrails,doors and it makes a very attractive
flooring.
