ADS Fine Woods Inc. supply decking from its own factory based in the
state of Rondonia, Brazil. Our line includes one of the most beautiful,
durable and eco-friendly decking products available on the market.
We produce decking in following six types:
IPE, CUMARU,
TIGERWOOD,
MASARANDUBA,
ANGELIM PEDRA and
GARAPA (other species are available
upon request)
Due to a fact that all these species are hard and naturally resistant to
insects, rot, moisture absorption, wear and fire (fire rating for Ipe is
A) they all are a great choice for decking.
This superior decking is sold at wholesale pricing and can be used for
any outside structures like backyard decking, balconies, gazebo floors,
patios, pool areas, roof terraces and other maritime structures.
We supply deck boards in 1 x 4, 5/4 x 4, 1 x 6, 5/4 x 6 sizes. Boards
can be pregrooved to receive hidden fasteners (other sizes available
upon request)
Moisture content of finish product: Decking can be air dried usually
around 12%-14% or kiln dried as requested.
Preservation: Our decking will last for many years without chemical
treatment. However, the color can be protected with the periodic
application of UV protective coatings otherwise they will age to natural
silver patina.
DECKING FACTS
Energy to produce real wood comes from sun but energy to produce
alternative decking products comes unfortunately from burning fossil
fuels.
Recent studies which took under the consideration used energy and
emissions caused to manufacture, transport and refine building materials
proved the following:
Real wood outperformed plastics and alternative decking products.
Wood decking has one of the lowest environmental impacts among decking
material
Wood is the only 100% renewable and reusable building material
Wood requires less energy to manufacture and releases less greenhouse
gases than alternative decking products
Production of alternative decking products uses 8.5 times more energy,
14 times more fossil fuel, creates nearly 3 times more Green House gas
emissions, over 2 times more smog and uses 3 times more water.
Also keep in mind that our exotic decks are much more durable and
resistant to scratching than alternative decking which scratch easily
under normal wear and tear and scratches are more visible and more
difficult to repair.
Bottom line: ADS decks because of their natural resilience and their
unparalleled ability to stand up to the elements as well as their
natural beauty are the best choice for any commercial or residential
use.
